Drug and alcohol abuse are a real lethal combination that our communities
deal with every day. There are 23 million Americans addicted to alcohol and drugs with devastating consequences not only for the addicts and their families but also the communities they live in. In 2002 the state of Tennessee and concerned citizens established the 21st Drug Court to assist adult non-violent, addicted offenders in rebuilding their lives. Their efforts were a giant step in the right
direction, but fell short once the participant left the program and tried to re-enter society. That is the gap Next Right Step (NRS) spans by literally providing the “next right step” for successful re-entry. By providing relationally based assistance, using a whole-person approach, Next Right Step walks alongside a
client loving them through the trials of transition.

Graceworks is an ecumenical, nonprofit ministry funded primarily by Williamson County churches, individuals, businesses, civic group and the Graceworks Thrift Store. Our primary focus is to provide physical, emotional, spiritual, material, and referral services to those in need while helping them break the cycle of dependency on government assistance. Not everyone that needs our assistance is receiving governmental help.
